AIDT’s Leadership Development programs equip leaders with the knowledge and tools needed to lead people more effectively. The Leadership Skills 1, 2, and 3 courses each focus on essential competencies that help leaders strengthen their effectiveness. These training opportunities are designed for employees in business and industry who are currently in, or preparing for, leadership roles.
Participants are encouraged to begin with Leadership Skills 1, then progress to Leadership Skills 2, and complete the series with Leadership Skills 3. An AIDT certification test is administered following each course.

Course Description
Leadership Skills 1 is an introductory leadership development course designed to equip emerging and experienced leaders with the essential skills required to lead people effectively in today’s diverse and fast-changing workplace. Participants will explore core leadership principles while developing practical tools they can immediately apply to their teams and organizations.

Course Description
Leadership Skills 2 is designed to help leaders achieve results by empowering, guiding, and developing the people they lead. This course focuses on the interpersonal and strategic skills required to influence performance, build strong relationships, and create a supportive environment where employees can excel.

Course Description
Leadership Skills 3 focuses on developing personal disciplines and an awareness required for effective leadership. This course equips leaders with skills to strengthen self-awareness, personal accountability and professional presence.
Course Objectives
- Lead with clarity, integrity and purpose by setting expectations, providing direction and building trust.
- Focus on clear communication introducing techniques to help leaders write and share information, actively listen as well as tailor messages to different audiences/situations.
- Strengthen cohesion, collaboration and problem-solving with a focus on defining roles, running effective meetings and supporting team decisions.
- Understand generational difference by reducing misunderstandings, improve collaboration and increase innovation.
Course Objectives
- Leaders learn how to adapt their leadership approach to better connect with and support diverse personality types.
- Equip leaders with tools, techniques and strategies that encourage creativity, collaboration and generate productive ideas.
- Navigate disagreements constructively and transform conflicts into positive outcomes.
- Learn practical methods for inspiring performance and supporting employee growth.
Course Objectives
- Explore the components of emotional intelligence and learn how to apply these skills to navigate workplace challenges.
- Emphasize professional integrity and responsibility while examining common workplace dilemmas and the impact of ethical behavior on trust as well as culture
- Develop techniques for prioritizing tasks, managing workload and increasing productivity.
- Learn to step forward confidently, communicate needs and take proactive action.
Note
Some classes require a small fee to cover lunch on training days, while others are offered at no charge with participants responsible for their own lunch. Each class has its own registration process, which will be specified by the class contact. Classes may be rescheduled or canceled due to low enrollment, illness, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
