AIDT was proud to take part in the Southern Automotive Conference (SAC) 2025, held October 7-10 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The event brought together leaders from across the South to talk about new technology, innovation, and the growing need for skilled workers in the automotive industry.
AIDT hosted two exhibit tables during the conference. One highlighted AIDT’s statewide workforce training programs, and the other focused on the AIDT Military Transition Program, which helps veterans and service members find careers in Alabama’s automotive and manufacturing industries.
Visitors had the chance to meet AIDT staff, learn about available training programs, and see how AIDT supports both workers and employers across the state.
“Events like SAC give us a chance to connect directly with industry leaders and show how AIDT is helping prepare Alabama’s workforce for the future,” said Kevin Taylor, AIDT Deputy Director. “We’re proud to share the training opportunities and partnerships that keep our state’s automotive industry strong.”
Conference guests were also invited to tour the Alabama Robotics Technology Park (RTP) in Tanner. The park is one of AIDT’s most advanced training centers, offering hands-on experience in robotics, automation, and safety. RTP serves as a national example of how workforce training and technology can come together to support industry growth.
AIDT’s presence at SAC 2025 showed the organization’s continued commitment to helping Alabama’s industries grow by training a skilled, ready workforce.
