The Robotics Technology Park’s mission is to provide a technically trained, highly skilled, and educated workforce for automation and robotics, to assist public and private entities in developing new robotics systems and technologies, and to promote the creation, growth, or expansion of companies through innovative technology solutions.
The Alabama Workforce Training Center provides training for the manufacturing and construction industries in the Birmingham and Central Alabama areas. Trainees are existing employees of companies who desire to advance their skills. The ultimate purpose is to provide specific skill training to the employees and to help maintain an adequately trained workforce for the manufacturing and construction industries.
The Maritime Training Center officially opened on November 8, 2010. Our 67,000 square foot facility features classrooms, and a state-of-the-art assembly room has the capacity to host large classes and events. On the shop floor, there are 64 welding booths, a CNC plasma table, and a large lay-down yard with overhead crane access. We also have a counterbalance forklift, rough terrain forklift, aerial-lift, and a 10-ton overhead crane and rigging for safety training.
The Montgomery Regional Workforce Training Center (MRWTC) is operated by AIDT in partnership with several entities, including Montgomery Public Schools, Alabama Community College System, ATN, AUM, the Department of Education, and the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce.
The ultimate goal is to provide entry-level training, existing employee upgrade training, two-year technical college-level training, and K-12 career training to adequately supply businesses with a trained workforce for the Montgomery region.
