AIDT at the Robotics Technology Park (RTP) in Tanner, AL is seeking applicants for a full-time Project Manager.

SYNOPSIS
The Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and oversight of AIDT workforce training programs and services for new and expanding companies across Alabama. This role requires strategic thinking, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with a high level of independent decision making. The position is based in Tanner, AL and involves extensive in-state and potential out-of-state travel. Remote work is not available for this position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Acquisition & Screening
- Define and implement candidate screening criteria aligned with project goals and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Develop and manage recruitment campaigns, including digital and print advertising.
- Oversee application intake, screening, and interview scheduling.
- Conduct interviews in collaboration with client company representatives.
- Manage candidate communications and selection processes.
Program Development and Implementation:
- Assist with job task analysis in correlation with curriculum development.
- Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and training of instructional staff.
- Identify and procure resources and materials.
- Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure program alignment.
- Negotiate and manage Letters of Commitment (LOC) in accordance with AIDT policies and budgetary guidelines.
- Develop and maintain project timelines based on client staffing projections.
Training Program Execution:
- Manage multiple workforce training projects simultaneously.
- Allocate and oversee AIDT resources within assigned projects.
- Monitor trainee performance and provide coaching or dismissal when necessary.
- Evaluate instructor effectiveness and implement performance improvements.
- Continuously refine training programs based on feedback and outcomes.
- Maintain strong relationships with client companies to ensure program success.
- Ensure full compliance with LOC terms and AIDT operational standards.
Project Administration & Reporting
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, documentation, and reports.
- Process invoices, attendance records, and other administrative documents accurately and on time.
- Utilize project management and learning systems to support data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to institutional knowledge through effective use of automated tools and systems.

Required Qualifications & Competencies:
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Project Management Software, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel extensively as required.
- Strong independent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of standard employment policies, HR practices, and workforce development strategies.
- Familiarity with technical processes and industrial training methodologies.
- Experienced in training program implementation and program evaluation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills in classroom, lab, and shop environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and situational awareness.
- Ability to work effectively in both independent and team-based environments.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Baccalaureate Degree from a duly accredited institution required, preferably in appropriate area of specialization. All minimum qualifications as outlined in AIDT’s Policy Manual will apply. Additionally, the selected applicant must have a valid Alabama driver’s license and meet minimum policy requirements to be insured to operate AIDT vehicles.
Salary and General:
Initial placement will be based on experience and education applicable to the C3L salary schedule, within a range of $60,226– $78,909. Paid monthly. Excellent benefits package included.
Criminal Background Check:
The applicant chosen for employment will be required to sign a Criminal Background Check consent form and to submit a nonrefundable $29.07 payment for the cost of the criminal background check. (Note: $29.07 fee is based on possession of an Alabama Driver’s License. The fee for the background check may be more or less if the driver’s license is not an Alabama license.) Permanent employment will be contingent upon the results of the criminal background check.
