Workforce Development E-Learning Specialist

AIDT in Montgomery, AL is seeking applicants for a full-time Workforce Development E-Learning Specialist.

SYNOPSIS

Creative problem solver with a passion for helping adults improve their skills through lifelong learning. Highly motivated self-starter capable of providing high quality training documentation and e-learning modules that are coherent, easy to follow, and comply with industry standards and style guides.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build training materials such as e-learning, workbooks, activities, and online assessments that are suitable for the intended audience.
  • Efficiently develop and publish print and online documents to include training manuals, work instructions, user guides, forms, workflows, and operational procedures in various formats.
  • Identify learner needs through interaction with subject matter experts and data collected during client site visits.
  • Select graphics, audio, and video to effectively illustrate and enhance training materials. Write scripts for training videos.
  • Seek feedback from customers, learners, and colleagues to continuously improve training materials.
  • Train and support staff and part-time instructors on using training materials.
  • Create and administer training programs delivered through a learning management system (LMS).
  • Ability to shoot digital photos/video to effectively illustrate and enhance documents and learning material.
  • Work independently and take initiative to develop and execute complex projects and tasks which contribute to efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as project management, talent development, research, marketing, and communications to produce client deliverables.
  • Apply copyright and related mass communications law.

  • Work in an Apple/Mac work environment.
  • Plan daily/weekly work schedule without direct supervision.
  • Maintain housekeeping to organizational standards.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, company representatives, government officials, and the general public.
  • Comply with AIDT policy regarding attendance. (Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.)

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office 360, Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate Rise 360. Experience with animation, voiceovers and generative Al applications.
  • Experience using a learning management system (LMS) as an administrator, author, instructor, or learner.
  • Ability to write learner-centered training content for adults
  • Ability to design assessments to evaluate specific skills
  • Comfort using technology and ability to learn new skills as needed
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and guide others to solve problems
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proactive, lifelong learner committed to continuous improvement
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to be flexible and demonstrate excellent time management skills
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines and to handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to follow established laws, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to work in a constant state of awareness
  • Must have a passport or can obtain one
  • Must be able to travel in and out of the country
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment

 

Special Projects:

Accept and manage the development and implementation of special projects and other work-related duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

AIDT Policy Manual minimum qualifications for Salary Schedule C3M are:  Minimum three years experience in appropriate area of specialization and Baccalaureate Degree from a duly accredited institution required.

 

Salary and General:

Initial placement will be based on experience and education applicable to the C3M salary schedule, within a range of $62,163 – $89,284. Paid monthly. Excellent benefits package included.

 

Criminal Background Check:

The applicant chosen for employment will be required to sign a Criminal Background Check consent form and to submit a nonrefundable $29.07 payment for the cost of the criminal background check. (Note: $29.07 fee is based on possession of an Alabama Driver’s License. The fee for the background check may be more or less if the driver’s license is not an Alabama license.) Permanent employment will be contingent upon the results of the criminal background check.
