AIDT is seeking applicants for a full-time Oracle DBA.
Position may be located at any AIDT facility in Montgomery, Tanner, Vance, Birmingham, or Mobile.
$77,284 – $115,601
This is NOT a remote position.

SYNOPSIS
Support AIDT’s implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite v12 on production and test environments. Provide support to end users through consultation and advising, problem/enhancement identification and resolution, training, and documentation.
Technical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installing upgrades and patches, maintaining RMAN backups, development and maintenance of reports, and submitting and monitoring Oracle service requests. After hours work may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
End User and Applications Support:
- Troubleshoot Oracle Applications issues as they arise; consult with and advise end users.
- Analyze problems, enhancement requests and work orders; research, recommend and implement solutions.
- Configure and maintain existing Oracle Applications; assist in implementing, configuring and maintaining new Applications as required.
- Communicate planned installations/upgrades and current issues to IT and other appropriate staff.
Database Administration:
- Research, analyze and apply Oracle database and applications patches.
- Clone production environment to test environments as scheduled or requested.
- Create and maintain cron jobs and shell scripts as needed.
- Use Oracle’s command line utilities and SQL scripts to analyze and maintain the database.
- Maintain RMAN backup system.
Reports Development:
- Create and maintain text and PDF reports produced by Oracle Applications.
- Create and maintain PL/SQL code.
- Use tools such as XML or BI Publisher, Forms Developer, Reports Builder, Toad, SQL Developer.
Special Assignments and Projects:
- Accept and manage the development and implementation of special projects, and other work-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Actively participate as a member of the IT Division, including planning and coordinating IT work, suggesting and implementing initiatives, etc.
- Provide required support to other employees
- At any time, responsibilities may be altered to meet the needs of AIDT or our customers.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; at least two years of recent Oracle E-Business Suite experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Alabama driver’s license required.
- Ability to meet minimum policy requirements to be insured to operate AIDT vehicles required.
- All other qualifications as specified in the AIDT Policy Manual.
Salary and General:
Initial placement will be based on experience and education applicable to the C2 salary schedule, within a range of $77,284 – $115,601. Paid monthly. Excellent benefits package included.
Criminal Background Check:
The applicant chosen for employment will be required to sign a Criminal Background Check consent form and to submit a nonrefundable $26.17 payment for the cost of the criminal background check. (Note: $26.17 fee is based on possession of an Alabama Driver’s License. The fee for the background check may be more or less if the driver’s license is not an Alabama license.) Permanent employment will be contingent upon the results of the criminal background check.
