GlassStreamAIDT is seeking applicants for a pre-employment training program for Glasstream Powerboats in Dothan, Alabama.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older, and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • All candidates must comply with all Glasstream Powerboat safety rules and practices
  • All candidates will be required to submit to a drug screening analysis to be eligible for employment

Fiberglass Cutter & Grinder Technician

($10.00 – $15.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Trim and smooths fiberglass boat (deck and hull) edges and other fiberglass parts after lay-up molding process is complete
  • Capable of training trimmers with or no experience for production line personnel
  • Must be familiar with fiberglass production process procedures and quality requirements (Dotco Cutters, Saw Grinders, and Drills)
  • Two to three years experience, plus WHMIS certified or equivalent (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

Final Assembly Technician: Final Fit & Finish

($11.00 – $17.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to trouble shoot problems in final trim, including fit & finish required
  • Pulls parts and materials for daily activities, may cut some materials and check completed materials for proper fit & finish
  • Must be familiar with installation process, procedures, and quality requirements in the marine field
  • Two to three years experience required, plus WHMIS certified or equivalent (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

Final Assembly Technician: Marine Engine Rigger/Installer

($11.00 – $18.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to install marine engine propulsion systems including Mercury and Suzuki outboards
  • Performance of wiring, instrumentation, accessories, propellers, quality assurance, start-up, and delivery certification required
  • Experience in boat rigging, outboard motor installation, rigging, and marine motor installation skills required
  • Two to three years experience required, plus WHMIS certified or equivalent (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

Final Assembly Technician: Console Builders

($11.00 – $17.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to install components to boats according to Glasstream specifications
  • Experience in console trim, layout, and cutout required Must be able to install gauges, shift and throttle assemblies.
  • Basic wiring skills also required (electronics, speakers, stereo, GPS, windshields, etc.,)
  • Two to three years experience required, plus WHMIS certified or equivalent (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

Final Assembly Technician: Carpenter/Installer

($11.00 – $18.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication, woodworking/Carpentry experience required. Trim/Finish carpentry experience is a plus
  • Ability to install doors, bullheads, hatches, according to Glasstream specifications
  • Must be familiar with marine production process & procedures, quality requirements.
  • Experience in trim finish, in auto or marine field a plus
  • Should be able to use common tools including a router, saws, and sanders and have experience finishing products
  • Two to three years experience required, plus WHMIS certified or equivalent (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

Final Assembly Technician: Wiring Deck & Hull

($11.00 – $16.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to install and wire boat components in deck and hull while maintaining high quality during build sequence
  • Experience in installation of marine electronics, fuel sending units/gauges, gas tank grounding, bilge pumps/live wells, navigation, and cockpit lighting required
  • Pulls parts and materials for daily activities. Cut material and perform quality assessment on material for proper fit and finish
  • Two to three years experience required, plus WHMIS certified or equivalent (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

Gel-Coat Sprayer Technician

($12.00 – $18.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of mix-ratio, plus the understanding of weather related variables such as humidity, ambient temperature in application required
  • Experience in using mil-guages/gel coat rigs required Preps necessary patches or repairs mold per job specifications.
  • Ensures hull records are complete with all required information
  • Two to three years experience required, plus WHMIS certified or equivalent (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

Lamentation Roller and Mold Technician

($11.00 – $17.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to spray chopped fiberglass, resins, and catalysts onto prepared molds or dies using pneumatic spray guns and chopper attachments
  • Select pre-cut fiberglass mats, cloth, and wood-bracing materials as required by projects being assembled
  • Ability to use rulers and micrometers to measure specifications on product for quality assurance.
  • Trim excess materials from molds as required Two to three years experience required, plus WHMIS certified or equivalent (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

Mold Maintenance & Prep Technician

($10.00 – $16.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Check mold for structural integrity, clean/remove debris, apply sealants, follow all glasstream preparation procedures
  • Experience in repairing molds, documentation of repairs, buff, sand, spray/mix gel coat and fill voids.
  • Inspect all fiberglass parts/molds. Must have experience in mold maintenance, repairs, and preparation
  • Two to three years experience required, plus WHMIS certified or equivalent (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

Quality Assurance Technician

($11.00 – $16.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing quality tests on finished boats to isolate and solve issues
  • Initiate quality tests, analyze results, and find solutions to solve production related problems
  • Develop, execute, and document continuous improvement and process improvement standard operating produces for all phases of

Upholstery Technician

($11.00 – $18.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Previous manufacturing experience with industrial sewing machines required.
  • Single and double needle upholstery experience is a plus
  • Ability to top stitch and create new patterns Pull parts and materials for daily activities.
  • Must be able to cut materials for daily production schedule and perform quality control on material as required
  • Two to three years experience required, plus WHMIS certified or equivalent (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

Carpenter/Woodshop

($11.00 – $18.00 DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in CNC router operation required
  • Must be able to shape and cut material for specified measurements using hand tools, machines, and power saws
  • Ability to comprehend and execute woodworking schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches for clients in the marine and boating industry
