AIDT in Montgomery, AL is seeking applicants for a full-time Financial Services Assistant – Business Office.

$48,505 – $64,229

SYNOPSIS
Performs financial and payroll support services involved in accomplishing Business Office accounting and reporting functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Finance Functions:

  • Serves as backup for Business Office staff
  • Serves as backup for processing TIPs invoices
  • Prepares RTP II invoices Prints AP checks.

Finance Functions:

  • Maintains employees’ leave balances and prepares reports (including Compensated Absences report for entry to ledger)
  • Receives and verifies Direct Pay Invoices dates, hours, and amounts
  • Processes spreadsheet for mailout for verification of payroll
  • Assists with preparation of W-2’s for all employees
  • Collects and maintains staff driver’s licenses for insurance purposes
  • Processes Openbook Alabama information
  • Processes SUI wage report
  • Reconciles Money Market bank account
  • Maintains receipt log
  • Prepares receipt journal entry
  • Prepares employee form 1095
  • Serves as contact for auto insurance

Special Projects:

  • Accepts special projects, and performs other work-related duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Coordinates and accounts for AIDT resources within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • AIDT Policy Manual minimum qualifications for Salary Schedule E2 are:  Minimum high school diploma or GED certificate and two years additional college training in appropriate area of specialization; or three years work experience in appropriate area of specialization.
  • Valid Alabama driver’s license required.
  • Ability to meet minimum policy requirements to be insured to operate AIDT vehicles required.
  • All others qualifications as specified in the AIDT Policy Manual.

Salary and General:

Initial placement will be based on experience and education applicable to the E2 salary schedule, within a range of $48,505 – $64,229. Paid monthly. Excellent benefits package included.

Criminal Background Check:

The applicant chosen for employment will be required to sign a Criminal Background Check consent form and to submit a nonrefundable $24.61 payment for the cost of the criminal background check. (Note: $24.61 fee is based on possession of an Alabama Driver’s License. The fee for the background check may be more or less if the driver’s license is not an Alabama license.) Permanent employment will be contingent upon the results of the criminal background check.
