AIDT Leadership Development Information
Thank you for your interest in our Leadership Development programs. AIDT offers several choices relating to your leadership training needs.
AIDT’s Leadership Skills programs are two or three day courses that have been offered across Alabama for several years. They focus on basic skills that all supervisors need to be effective. Leadership Skills I major topics include roles and responsibilities, communication, motivation, and teamwork. These classes usually meet Tuesday-Wednesday from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. The start/stop times can be adjusted to fit your work schedule. We also offer a 2-day Leadership Skills II program that builds on concepts discussed in the first program, including personality assessment, conflict management and ethics. Both of these programs have comprehensive tests following the programs that offer the credentials of “AIDT Certified Leader I” and “AIDT Certified Leader II” if the minimum score is achieved.
For on-site training, a minimum of ten and a maximum of twenty participants are required for each session. It is recommended to have the training at an off-site location. You are responsible for scheduling the training location and the participants. AIDT will provide all seminar materials and equipment at no cost to you (in most cases). It is recommended that lunch/refreshments be provided for the participants. This is appropriate and indicates management's support/concern for the program.
Demand for these programs continues to be great. If you are interested in scheduling a session, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your training needs and confirm dates. In the event you must reschedule or cancel, we request four weeks advance notification. This will allow us to fill the vacated slot.
