POSITION:
PART-TIME PRE-EMPLOYMENT ASSESSORS
This posting will fill up to (10) pre-employment assessor positions.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Assessor positions in required pre-employment skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum high school diploma or GED certificate and two years additional college training in appropriate area of specialization, or three years work experience in appropriate area of specialization. Previous classroom teaching/presentation experience preferred. The knowledge and ability to instruct the required pre-employment training skills.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK:
In accordance with Alabama Community College System policy and guidelines, the applicant/s chosen for employment will be required to sign a Criminal Background Check consent form and submit a nonrefundable payment for the cost of the criminal background check. The cost is $22.75 for AL residents, but may vary depending on your state residence. Employment will be contingent upon the receipt of a clearance notification from the criminal background check.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitor trainees’ activities at their assigned workstations.
• Evaluate trainees on their performance according to an observation form.
• Completes observation forms according to standards.
• Reports any workstation issues to Lead Assessor.
• Coordinates activities of the program with Lead Assessor.
• Responsible for time management of the workstations in your area.
• Train the trainees on the different aspects of the workstation.
• Secures and maintains workstations in the area.

• Comply with AIDT policy regarding attendance. (Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.)
• Communications professionally and respectfully,with staff, company representatives, government officials, and the general public.
• Coordinates and accounts for AIDT resources within assigned area(s)of responsibility.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

1. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
2. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
3. Professionally interact with company representatives, trainees and AIDT Staff.
4. Demonstrate adherence to established laws, policies and procedures.
5. Ability to work in a constant state of awareness.
6. Skill in comprehending technical literature and processes.
7. Knowledge of industrial training and retraining procedures.
8. Willingness to comply with all pertinent safety, environmental and other local, state and federal laws and regulations.
9. Effectively present technical information to groups in a classroom or in a lab environment.
10. Ability to work flexible days, nights and weekends based on training program needs.
11. Ability to travel to and from instructional site.

WAGE:
This is a part-time hourly pay position. The hourly rate will be $19.00 per hour. Salary is paid monthly.
