Process Improvement Assessment leads to solutions and satisfaction

AIDT Process Improvement Assessment improves the quality of products and services and the satisfaction of employees and customers through assessing what is done, how it is done and finding what causes problems.
This service is part of AIDT Continuous Improvement Team Service available to Alabama employers.

"Our purpose is to assess facilities seeking improvement opportunities in their quest to become a world-class, lean manufacturer," said Jim Richards, AIDT Continuous Improvement Team manager. "Based on lean principles, the assessment results outline improvement areas and solutions."

AIDT Process Improvement Assessment, provided at no cost, is designed to examine and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities and training needs. The assessment process includes:
  • Disaster Plan Recovery
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Production Scheduling
  • Information Flow
  • Employee Involvement
  • In-Process Inventory
  • Component Part Inventory Management
  • Material Handling
  • Process Flow
  • and, more
After assessment and analysis, the AIDT team provides a report that includes positive comments, negative comments and suggestions. AIDT training is available to show employees what improvements are needed and how they can be made.

For more process improvement information, contact AIDT CI Team Manager Jim Richards at 334-280-4428 and by email at jrichards@aidt.edu.
