AIDT now offers Interview T.I.P.S. (Training to Improve Presentation Skills) to prepare job seekers to submit correct applications, demonstrate confidence, improve communication skills with mock interviews and proper interview follow-up. Interview T.I.P.S. is available at no cost for job seekers ranging from high school students through adults.

Leadership Skills I is the recommended first course for first-line, team leads and/or new supervisors. There is a comprehensive test given after the class. If passed, the exam offers the credential of “AIDT Certified Leader I”. The class is offered in 2-day format. This class is designed for currently employed Alabama citizens who are in leadership roles in their respective companies.

Classes are held around the state.


Leadership Skills II is a follow-up course to Leadership Skills I, and includes more advanced topics of supervision. There is a comprehensive test given after the class, and if passed offers the credential of “AIDT Certified Leader II”. The class is offered in a 2-day format.

Change and How to Handle It (Outline) – With constant demands from the marketplace to deliver more with less, almost everyone is finding that their daily work life includes some responsibility for dealing with change. This four hour class will help you develop the ability to handle change in a more positive manner.


Customer Service (Outline):  A 3-hour class that focuses on the role of the Customer Service Representative.  Topics include:  Customer Needs, Meeting Expectations, Communication Skills, Listening, and Dealing with Difficult People.


Facilitation Skills (Outline):  A 4-hour class created to make core facilitation skills better understood in organizations.  Topics include:  Functions of a Facilitator, Listening Skills, Common Facilitation Techniques and Dealing with Difficult Dynamics.


Diversity Training (Outline):  A 4-hour class developed to address the issues of diversity within our multi-cultural/generational workforce. Gender, ethnicity, education, physical abilities and language are a few of the diversity topics discussed. Participants should leave this training with an understanding that everyone adds value and is deserving of dignity and respect.


Empowering Teams (Outline):  A 4-hour class that focuses on the characteristics of effective team players.  Topics include:  Types of teams, Stages of Team Development, Communication and Consensus Decision Making.
