Austal held a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, November 9 at their new state-of-the-art shipbuilding facility in Mobile.  Phase I of their $200 million dollar facility is complete and was completed in record time.  The new facility will help usher in new ways to increase efficiency and productivity in shipbuilding.  Austal currently has approximately 1,000 employees and will be adding more employees in the near future.
