ThyssenKrupp continues building a $3.7 billion world class, state-of-the-art steel and stainless steel processing facility located in Calvert, AL. The facility is a cooperative effort between two ThyssenKrupp segments – Steel and Stainless. When fully operational, the facility will employ 2,700 workers and have an estimated annual capacity of 5.1 million metric tons of end product. The plant is expected to begin operations by 2010.

ThyssenKrupp Steel and Stainless USA, LLC is recruiting and hiring locally to fill jobs created at the new facility. AIDT has established a formal procedure to fill employment opportunities for production/maintenance team jobs.
